Character List:
Bigheart: Young and handsome, he is discovering that his compulsion for Doing The Right Thing is in direct contradiction to his core belief I Am Not A Hero. Spoiler alert: he’s the hero.
Gravedeath: He used to be a nice guy until power predictably corrupted him and turned him into a murderous psychopath. He will stop at nothing to obtain the Very Powerful Object which will make him — you guessed it — unstoppable.
Lilly: She’s here for her sarcastic remarks and clever quips — and to make Bigheart sexually frustrated. Update (7/8/2024): Now she is a Strong Female Character.
Blizzard the Wizard: He’s only as powerful as you believe him to be. So not very powerful.
Lothki: A devious trickster with a delicious tell, whose kryptonite is magic mushrooms. That’s a lot of context, I know - you’ll have to go back and read Season 1.
Miracle Max: A last-minute savior with a punctuality problem. That’s going to be an issue in her line of work.
Michael and Nichael: Identical twins with identical personalities who the author often forgets to write lines for.
Ghost Shopkeeper: Pretty much what it sounds like.
FADE IN
EXT. THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. THE PARTY HAS BEEN WANDERING AIMLESSLY FOR DAYS. WITHOUT BIGHEART, THEY ARE DIRECTIONLESS.
LILLY
Well this is just great. We lost Bigheart and we’re no closer to finding the Object of Great Power.
MAX
The only silver lining is that this just might be the opportunity the story needed to develop the two of us as STRONG FEMALE CHARACTERS.
LILLY
You mean I can be more than just a sassy love interest?
BLIZZARD
I think what Max means is that you would contribute more to the party if you engaged in some strength training. Your arms are looking quite spindly, now that I think of it.
MAX
That’s not what I meant, Blizzard. What I meant is that Lilly deserves to be seen as more than just an object of Bigheart’s affection.
BLIZZARD
The boy can be rather feckless, I agree. Speaking of objects, where is it?
LOTHKI
I have reason to believe the Object of Great Power is hidden at the bottom of the swamp back at the Deep Dark Woods.
BLIZZARD
You’re relapsing, Lothki, you duplicitous little snake. As the saying goes: Deceive me once, remorse be upon you. Deceive me a second time, uh, well, anyway, stop trying to lead your friends to their untimely deaths.
LOTHKI
It’s true, since we ran out of Big Brain Berries a few days ago I can’t stop lying again. Last night I almost convinced Michael and Nichael to sleep with their heads next to an active geyser.
MICHAEL AND NICHAEL
It’s true. He almost killed us using water.
LILLY
Lothki, if you keep trying to get members of the party killed I’m going to banish you.
LOTHKI
It’s not like I can control it. I’m really fond of you all, I mean that. I just can’t help myself.
BLIZZARD
He’s an addict, Lilly. It’s not his fault.
LILLY
Addicted to trying to lead people to their deaths? That’s absurd.
LOTHKI
It’s a compulsion, like how Max always has to wait until the last minute to rescue people.
LILLY
Well aren’t you two a couple peas in a pod.
BLIZZARD
I think you mean whales, Lilly.
LILLY
What?
BLIZZARD
A group of whales is called a pod. You said peas, I think you were confused.
LILLY
Never mind.
EXT. OUTSIDE THE WALLS OF A DESERTED CITY. THE GATE IS AJAR, AND A THIN, DULL MIST HOVERS OVER THE DUSTY GROUND. NIGHT IS FALLING.
LOTHKI
This looks safe, let’s sleep here for the night.
LILLY
Stop trying to get us all killed and watch my back, I’m going in first to make sure it’s safe.
BLIZZARD
Bigheart used to watch Lilly’s back a lot when he was still with us, I’m glad she’s found a replacement.
LILLY
I think this town is deserted. Come on, let’s explore.
